Background
David Miller needed to turnaround the prospects for The Connaught, Best Western in Bournemouth with 83 rooms, to increase bookings and maintain RevPar to remain competitive in the popular seaside and rural resort. David was selling his hotel inventory across four online channels but needed to increase this to take advantage of the increasing number of internet bookings.
Opportunity
The Connaught needed to increase the number of channels to reach a wider audience. However the laborious task of manually updating the four travel portals to ensure the rates and availability were correct provided limitations.
Solution
David needed a tool that was easy to use, in order to have his Front of House team make frequent updates to the four channels. Following a demonstration of RTSuite, David was so impressed he immediately subscribed to the product to update rates and inventory across all channels instantly, in one go.
Return on Investment
Opportunity: Inventory checks were tedious and it was difficult to keep track of rooms distributed on various channels manually. With RateTiger, the hotel can pay attention to detail making sure stock is constantly available. RTSuite has also helped secure more last minute bookings and increased sales channels from 4 to 8.
Save Time: It now takes less than an hour every day to manage prices and room availability across his third party websites instead of the four to five hours.
